Blog Make-Over

Now that the two month Carlson Residency is finished, it is great to be back in my studio and back to my blog. Anyone who visited recently knows that I have been focusing on my plein air painting, and posting those pieces to www.pleinairpa.blogspot.com. Now it is time to get back in the studio, and back to my main blog.

To my family, friends, and classmates, thanks for visiting here and encouraging me. I hope you will be as excited as I am about the change of direction here as I return to the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts for the last two years of my education there. I will be working more independently at school; approaching my work more as an emerging artist and less as an art student.

What does that mean for my blog? That I will still be able to post images and stories that the people who love me will be interested in (or at least fake it for me!) But I will be focusing more on my art rather than class assignments. I will be speaking to those of you who already own my works, and those who might want to begin collecting it. So far those collectors have been neighbors, or neighbors of the places referenced in my works.

So welcome to the rebirth of my blog.
